in light of this ruling, famous talk-show host and outspoken "lesbian" Ellen Degeneres announced her plans to marry her longtime girlfriend Portia de Rossi.
just when it seems like our country can't offend God anymore, something like this comes down the line. unfortunately, today is just the culmination of a calculated effort by the homosexual community to grant acceptance to their "alternative" lifestyle.
i bet you can think of AT LEAST 5 television shows where one of the main characters is gay. i bet you can't watch a night of primetime television without seeing multiple references to homosexuals and their quirky, funny lifestyles. we have been slowly desensitized to this behavior for years and years. now, we have raised a generation that sees nothing wrong with it.
i wish we did not have to fight this. i wish that this was a preference, an opinion, a taste. "you like pepsi? well, i like coke. agree to disagree..." it may be an "alternative" lifestyle in this country, but not before God.
the Bible could not be more clear on this matter (Rom. 1:26-27; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Jude 7). God's will for marriage has always been: one man and one woman for life (Gen. 2; Matt. 19). how sad it is that we have to review this with our kids in pewpackers! i never envisioned "marriage" being anything else but that when i was a kid!
i don't hate homosexuals; but i hate the sin they involve themselves in. same for adulterers and gossipers and liars. we can't let our country authorize something that God has prohibited.
